{"id":161,"date":"2010-01-23T14:41:05","date_gmt":"2010-01-23T21:41:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.astoriababy.com\/?p=161"},"modified":"2010-02-10T15:05:01","modified_gmt":"2010-02-10T22:05:01","slug":"soups-for-a-cold-night-olive-garden-zuppa-toscana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.astoriababy.com\/?p=161","title":{"rendered":"Soups for a cold night: Olive Garden Zuppa Toscana"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Originally seen on <a title=\"Tuscan Recipies Zuppa Tuscana\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tuscanrecipes.com\" target=\"_blank\">Tuscan Recipies<\/a>, the following recipie for Olive Garden&#8217;s Zuppa Toscana\u00c2\u00a0is one of my favorites!<\/p>\n<p>Makes: 6-8 servings<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">1 lb ground Italian sausage<br \/>\n1\u00c2\u00bd tsp crushed red peppers<br \/>\n1 large diced white onion<br \/>\n4 Tbsp bacon pieces<br \/>\n2 tsp garlic puree<br \/>\n10 cups water<br \/>\n5 cubes of chicken bouillon<br \/>\n1 cup heavy cream<br \/>\n1 lb sliced Russet potatoes, or about 3 large potatoes<br \/>\n\u00c2\u00bc of a bunch of kale<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Saut\u00c3\u00a9 Italian sausage and crushed red pepper in a large pot. Drain excess fat, refrigerate while you prepare other ingredients.<\/li>\n<li>In the same pan, saut\u00c3\u00a9 bacon, onions and garlic over low-medium heat for approximately 15 mins. or until the onions are soft.<\/li>\n<li>Add chicken bouillon and water to the pot and heat until it starts to boil.<\/li>\n<li>Add the sliced potatoes and cook until soft, about half an hour.<\/li>\n<li>Add the heavy cream and just cook until thoroughly heated.<\/li>\n<li>Stir in the sausage and the kale, let all heat through and serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Originally seen on Tuscan Recipies, the following recipie for Olive Garden&#8217;s Zuppa Toscana\u00c2\u00a0is one of my favorites!
