Nibbledish.com’s 4X4 Darjeeling Chai Recipie
Ingredients
- 1 cup Water
- 1/4 cup of Whole Milk
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of Glenburn 2nd flush Darjeeling tea leaves
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- 4 Cloves
- 4 Whole Cardamom Pods
- 4 Black Peppercorns
- 4 teaspoons of sugar
- Ginger (optional)
Instructions:
- Take a small saucepan and boil the water. Add in the tea leaves and leave to for a few minutes.
- Add in the sugar and spices and boil for a few more minutes until reduced by about half. Pour in the milk and warm through to drinking temperature.
- Strain into a pot and serve.
